SCHOOL LIFE

Since its founding, Hangzhou Entel Foreign Language School has focused on "preparing students for an unpredictable future". Our five festivals embrace this vision and support students in their extracurricular pursuits and personal interests. From student-led drama and talent shows, to art exhibitions and cultural events, we encourage students to explore their interests and showcase their abilities. The festivals are also a time for fun and enjoyment for both students and teachers.

ANNUAL FESTIVALS
LANGUAGE FESTIVAL DRAMA NIGHT
The festival organises activities for students and teachers across both the junior high and senior high school. After several years of history, we now have an established tradition of events: the English Speech Contest, the Spelling Bee, the Voice of Entel English Recitation Competition, the Foreign Language Calligraphy Contest and the Classic English Film Dubbing Competition. One of the highlights of the festival is the Drama Night where students from each grade prepare a 20 to 30-minute performance. Recent performances include Oliver Twist, The Importance of Being Ernest, Mulan and Midsummer Night's Dream.
SPORTS DAY
The annual sports day takes place over three days in early autumn. Events are held in both track and field with teams created from the student’s homeroom classes. This creates a sense of belonging and competitiveness among the students. The sports day kicks-off with each homeroom class parading around the track and giving a short performance to the judges. At the end of the sports day, the final relay events are a highlight of the competition.
ART FESTIVAL
The Art Festival is held at the end of the calendar year in December. Students perform on the main stage to show their musical and artistic talents. There is a Voice of Entel competition for the best solo singer as well as a Battle of the Bands.
SCIENCE FESTIVAL
The annual science festival allows students to present their creations, research and discoveries in the world of science, computing and robotics.
CHINESE CULTURE FESTIVAL
The Chinese Culture Festival celebrates the art, literature and culture of China. We focus on historical and modern classics. The students create poster presentations of famous works.
EXTRACURRICULAR AND ELECTIVE COURSES
Entel provides students with opportunities to explore and expand their horizons. We believe that the student is always growing and always curious. We have extracurricular clubs to suit every interest - no talent required, only enthusiasm!
